Good morning! I Hope your coffee is extra strong this morning to give you the kick you need to get you to the weekend!
Today I want to hopefully restore inspiration within you and encourage you to keep being yourself.
Day to day life can easily distract us from the core of who we are and it is up to us to remind ourselves of our own essence that makes us who we are.
To me, it seems that nowadays people are more concerned with having control than ever, and I think it's due to their fear of change.
If we resist change , in any way, we create suffering for ourselves.
But all too often we attach our egos to the false sense of security that having control brings us. We convince ourselves that if we have control, and know the outcome, then we are safe. And it is when the outcome is uncertain that we shake in our boots. Take this thought a little further... what I really think we are doing is robbing ourselves of any opportunity for growth. If we determine the outcome, where is the opportunity for growth?
We must always keep empty space within us, an open heart, that's the room for growth. If we fill that space with control or ego, we deny ourselves any opportunity for growth.
I think fear of the uncertain is to blame here. It forces us to be vulnerable, and sadly, to many of us cling to our ego rather than allow vulnerability. Personally, I think allowing vulnerability means allowing God to show his Grace in our lives. But we turn to the false security of our ego and deny God that opportunity. I think to allow vulnerability is to fall into the divine, and allow God's grace to take over. This is where strength is born. It takes strength within one's self to let go of our ego and need for control to be vulnerable. Through trusting this process we grow in our strength and connection with God.
From one moment to the next, there is always an in between space, and that's the very space where we let God in. The space in which vulnerability exists.
So, remember, God has spoken unto you, and that is the very essence of who you are. Your every breath is watched over, your every action is known, your sadness brings wisdom, your pain is a chance for strength and your fear is the perfect chance for renewal. It's up to you to allow that renewal in.
